Ivy Illinois Co. has scheduled a 2,500-ft exploratory test in Knox County, Ind. According to IHS Markit, #12 Bower will be drilled in irregular Section 2-2n-11w. The Tulsa-based operator’s wildcat is targeting oil pays in McClosky Lime. The company has permitted three McClosky Lime wells within 1 mile to the southeast. In Section 3, the offsetting #9 Bower and #10 Bower are each permitted to 2,500 ft. Also in Section 3 is the recently permitted #11 Bower, with a planned depth of 2,500 ft. The successful completions of the Bower wells by the Tulsa-based company would be placed in St. Francisville Consolidated Field. Nearby production is about 3 miles to the southwest of the company’s proposed #12 Bower at #7 Bower, which was tested pumping 15 bbl of crude and 30 bbl of water per day from McClosky Lime at 1,800-1,950 ft. The company’s #4-H Bower was vertically drilled to 1,838 ft, and production is from Benoist Sand and was tested pumping 25 bbl of crude and 80 bbl of water per day.
