Description
A deeper pool wildcat is planned by Pioneer Oil Co. in the Johnson North Field portion of Clark County, Ill. The #1 McCrory Community has a planned depth of 3,200 ft and is targeting Platteville oil. It will be in Section 14-10n-14w. The site is surrounded by numerous shallow oil wells in Johnson North Field that were drilled to 500 ft or less. Trenton oil production in Johnson North Field is 2 miles southeast of Pioneer Oil’s planned wildcat. The #2 Frank Morgan in Section 24 was completed in 1977 pumping 28 bbl of crude and 10 bbl of water per day from perforations at 2,802-32 ft.
