A Middle Bakken discovery by Denver-based HPC Operating LLC initially flowed 4.447 Mbbl of oil, 4.8 MMcf of gas and 2.22 Mbbl of water per day. Located in Section 23-148n-95w of Dunn County, N.D., the #148-95-26A-35-2H Fort Berthold was drilled to 21,572 ft, with a projected true vertical depth of 11,176 ft. Production is from a horizontal Middle Bakken interval at 11,501-21,572 ft following 49-stage fracturing. The Eagle Nest Field venture bottomed to the south in Section 35-148n-95w.
