Houlihan Lokey (NYSE: HLI) said on Dec. 14 that Victor Barcot joined the firm as a managing director in the oil and gas exploration and production group.
Based in Houston, Barcot joins from Deutsche Bank AG (NYSE: DB), where he was a managing director in its global oil and gas group.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was a managing director in HSBC Holdings Plc’s (NYSE: HSBC) resources and energy group, working with E&P clients in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
Barcot also was the founding partner of Exxel Energy Group and the founder and CEO of Archer Petroleum. He began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston (NYSE: CS) in 1997.
“Victor’s depth of experience is further enhanced by his tenure as an owner of U.S. upstream oil & gas companies, providing a unique perspective and blend of expertise that will doubtless be tremendously beneficial to our E&P client base,” J.P. Hanson, head of the oil and gas exploration and production group, said.
Barcot holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in finance from the University of Houston.
