Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Halliburton Operating Co., based in Houston, will attempt to confirm its recently opened Monte Hall Field with a new test in Dickens County (RRC Dist. 8A), Texas. According to IHS Markit, #1 Five Resources will be drilled to 5,000 ft. It is on an 80-acre West Texas lease on the Eastern Shelf of the Permian Basin. It will target Tannehill Lime in Section 278, Block 1, H&GN RR Co Survey, A-146. Halliburton’s #1 Neaves is within one-half mile to the north in the same section and was completed in early 2018. Designated the Monte Hall Field opener, the 4,964-ft discovery was tested pumping 56 bbl of 35-degree-gravity oil, 56 Mcf of gas and no water per day from acidized perforations at 4,813-18 ft. During the well’s first three months online, it produced 2.682 Mbbl of oil.
