Description

GMT Exploration Co. has received drilling permits for 16 horizontal Niobrara wildcats to be drilled from two common drillpads in Adams County, Colo. According to IHS Markit, the southern Denver-Julesburg Basin ventures will be drilled from two drillpads—10 wells from a pad in Section 25-3s-66w and six from a pad in Section 25-3s-66w. The two pads are approximately 5 miles south of Denver International Airport. The #3-66 25-27-11HN, #12HN, #13HN, #14HN, #15HN MCC and #16HN will be in Section 25-3s-65w and will be drilled generally westward to bottom-hole locations in Section 27-3s-66w. Proposed measured total depths range between 20,399 and 20,553 ft; projected true vertical depths range between 7,872 and 7,940 ft. The #3-66 HN, #2HN, #3HN, #4HN, #5HN, #6HN, #7HN, #8HN, #9HN and #10HN MCC are on the pad in Section 25-3s-66w and will be drilled generally westward to bottom-hole locations in Section 27-3s-66w. Proposed measured total depths range between 20,447 and 20,617 ft; projected true vertical depths range between 7,859 and 7,929 ft. GMT is based in Denver.
