Matt Gallagher, president and COO of Parsley Energy Inc., is today’s Forty Under 40 featured honoree.
Matt, who joined Parsley in 2010, has served in his current role since 2017. However, he is slated to become CEO of the Permian Basin operator in January.
He notes that he will continue working closely with Bryan Sheffield, the outgoing CEO who will remain with the company he founded as chairman. In fact, he considers Bryan and the Sheffield family as mentors, among others including Paul Treadwell, Mike Hinson and Stephanie Reed.
“We all try to run the company the right way—with a handshake and a commitment to do right by each other and the communities in which we live and work,” he said.
