Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Denver-based Anschutz Exploration Corp. has completed an extended-reach horizontal Niobrara producer in the Powder River Basin. Located in Section 27-35n-71w in Converse County, Wyo., #3571-27-15-1W-NH Meatloaf-Federal initially flowed 504 bbl of 38.4-degree-gravity oil, 412 Mcf of gas and 1.186 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 10,830 ft northward to 21,647 ft. It bottomed in Section 15-35n-71w and the true vertical depth is 11,281 ft. It was tested on a 14/64-in. choke after 52-stage fracturing between 11,754 and 21,371 ft. The discovery is on the southern end of Scott Field, where production is from vertically drilled Cretaceous Teapot and Parkman oil wells.
