Drilling Activity Summary

Description

A 3,000-ft exploratory test is planned by Dallas-based IACX Energy LLC on the San Rafael Swell in Emery County, Utah. The #3 Woodside Dome will be in Section 1-19s-13e and will evaluate gas zones through the Permian Kaibab. The venture is about 1 mile north of Woodside Field, where Denver independent Bill Barrett Corp. completed a Pennsylvanian gas discovery in 2017. The #1 Woodside initially flowed 4.276 MMcf of gas and 159 bbl of water per day from perforations at 5,010-20 and 5,042-60. Before completion, two deeper Pennsylvanian zones were perforated and treated at 5,199-5,216 and 5,660-72 ft and were later closed off by bridge plugs at 5,145 ft and 5,410 ft. Bill Barrett shut in the discovery due to a lack of nearby infrastructure or pipelines. Woodside Field was originally opened in 1924.
