The original well was completed in mid-1962 pumping 202 bbl. of oil from Interlake at 9,179-9,215 ft. and 206 bbl. of oil daily from Red River at 9,566-9,775 ft. The original vertical well produced some 553,000 bbl. of oil, 3.4 million cu. ft. of gas and 407,000 bbl. of water from Interlake and Red River, and ended production in October 2004.

6 Running Foxes of Englewood, Colo., has a discovery at #16-1 Jolly Ranch in Section 1-13s-56w of Lincoln County, Colo. The #16-1 Jolly Ranch recovered 48 bbl. of 32-degree-gravity oil and 92 bbl. of water on a nine-hour swab test of a fracture-stimulated Atoka interval between 7,288-7,380 ft. Calculated daily rate is 128 bbl. of oil and 245 bbl. of water. The #10-9 Kucera Ranch drilling is under way in a nonproducing township in Section 11-12s-56w. The #10-9 Kucera Ranch project is nearly 11 miles south-southwest of the Great Plains field opener and six miles north-northwest of the #16-1 Jolly Ranch discovery.

11 ConocoPhillips of Houston and Anadarko Petroleum Corp. of The Woodlands, Texas, announced a discovery and test production from two wells in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska: #1-Pioneer and #2-Rendezvous. The #1-Pioneer was tested in March 2009 of this year and #2 Rendezvous was tested in winter of 2008. Both are in the Greater Mooses Tooth Unit, approximately 20 miles southwest of the Colville River Unit development on Alaska’s North Slope. Test production rates for these wells ranged from about 500 bbl. of oil per day to as high as 1,300 bbl. of oil per day of high-API gravity oil. Gas production rates averaged about 1.5 million cu. ft. per day for each well. No further delineation drilling is planned at either location at this time. ConocoPhillips is operator of and holds a 78% interest in the Greater Mooses Tooth Unit. Anadarko holds a 22% interest.
