1 The Woodlands, Texas-based Legado Midcon LLC completed a horizontal Marmaton producer near Beaver, Okla. The #1-24H Jackson is in Section 24-2n-22e and initially pumped 114 bbl. of 38-gravity oil, 102,000 cu. ft. of gas and 1,329 bbl. of water per day through perforations at 6,975-10,000 ft. after an acid treatment and eight-stage fracture-stimulation. Measured and true vertical depths at the Balko South Field prospect in Beaver County are 10,467 ft. and 6,434 ft., respectively.

2 South of Arnett, Okla., 40-gravity oil flowed at an initial rate of 145 bbl. per day, with 922,000 cu. ft. of gas and 120 bbl. of water, at a western Anadarko Basin exploratory test completion by Plano Petroleum LLC. The #1-9H Leona is in Section 9-17n-25w in Roger Mills County. Gauged on a 40/64-in. choke, production comes from Douglas between 7,158 and 11,544 ft. following an eight-stage external packer completion. Shut-in and flowing tubing pressures were gauged at 667 psi and 383 psi, respectively. The Plano, Texas-based operator drilled the well to 11,700 ft.

3 A Beckham County, Okla., completion by Chesapeake Operating Inc. flowed 1.51 million cu. ft. of gas, 10 bbl. of 51.5-gravity condensate and 170 bbl. of water daily. Drilled to 17,100 ft. in Section 34-10n-23w, #1-33 City of Sayre was completed in four 10-ft. Springer intervals at 14,742-52 ft., 14,977-87 ft., 15,870-80 ft. and 15,900-10 ft. The producer flowed 1.51 million cu. ft. of gas, 10 bbl. of 51.5-gravity condensate and 170 bbl. of water daily. On a 38/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 861 psi and shut-in tubing pressure was 3,200 psi. Another recent Chesapeake completion in Beckham County, #1 Antoinette in Section 12-10n-25w, produced 2.39 million cu. ft. of gas and 45 bbl. of water per day from six fractured Morrow intervals between 16,453 and 16,984 ft. This well was originally completed in 2007 and flowed 112,000 cu. ft. of gas from Squawbelly and Springer intervals.

4 According to IHS Inc., a Duncan Oil Properties Inc. horizontal test flowed 48-gravity oil at an initial rate of 511 bbl. per day, with 2.64 million cu. ft. of gas and 68 bbl of water. The Anadarko Basin completion, #2-21H Graham, is in Dewey County, Okla., in Section 21-16n-19w. The well was acidized and fractured between 10,310 and 12,819 ft. in a north-northwest Cleveland lateral and tested on a 16/64-in. choke with 2,400-psi flowing tubing pressure; shut-in tubing pressure was 3,260 psi. Duncan reported measured depth at 12,970 ft. and true vertical depth at 9,625 ft. Duncan Oil’s headquarters are in Oklahoma City.

5 An Anadarko Basin delineation test by Duncan Oil Properties Inc. of Oklahoma City initially flowed 144 bbl. of 43-gravity oil, 814,000 cu. ft. of gas and 48 bbl. of water per day. In Section 22-14n-13w in Blaine County, Okla., #1-22 Flying Woman was tested on a 22/64-in. choke. Production came after fracture-stimulated perforations in Red Fork at 10,594-10,628 ft. The shut-in and flowing tubing pressures were 3,970 psi and 350 psi. Log tops include Upper Cleveland at 9,158 ft.; Marmaton, 9,502 ft.; Cherokee, 9,982 ft.; and Red Fork at 10,594 ft.

6 From an Anadarko Basin horizontal test, Continental Resources Inc. reported an average flow rate of 6.8 million cu. ft. of gas daily with no water. The #2-22H Young is in Section 22-13n-11w, Blaine County, Okla., and was drilled southward to 18,633 ft., 13,681 true vertical. Testing was performed in a 4,952-ft. lateral in Woodford following a 10-stage frac job. Additional completion details are not available. Continental holds a 55% working interest in the well.

7 The #4-28H Leck by Questar Exploration of Salt Lake City, Utah, flowed gas at an initial rate of 4.8 million cu. ft. per day with 1,036 bbl. of water. The new horizontal producer is in Canadian County, Okla., in Section 28-13n-10w. Testing occurred on a 16/64-in. choke and the well produced from a fracture-stimulated and acidized Woodford interval between 13,534 and 17,495 ft. Respective shut-in and flowing casing pressures were reported at 5,200 psi and 4,350 psi. Drilled to 17,667 ft., 13,227 ft. true vertical, the well is in an area of Cherokee, Morrow and Springer producers in the Watonga-Chickasha Trend.

8 Stephens Production Co. of Fort Smith, Ark., has completed a shallow discovery in Oklahoma’s southern Anadarko Basin. The #1 Nunley is in Section 1-2n-9w, northwestern Stephens County, and flowed gas from Permian at a natural rate of 1.31 million cu. ft. per day during initial tests. The well was perforated at 2,366-2,418 ft., and tested with a commingled openhole interval at 2,460-2,600 ft. The shut-in tubing pressure was 975 psi, with 875-psi flowing tubing pressure recorded on a 16/64-in. choke at the well.

9 A reentry by Penn Virginia Corp. produced 58 bbl. of 40-gravity oil with 59,000 cu. ft. of gas and 361 bbl. of water after fracturing and acidizing two Woodford zones at 6,230-6,571 ft. and 6,630-6,941 ft. The #1-8H Davis Farms is in Section 8-16n-3w, Logan County, east of Cedar Valley, Okla. Radnor, Pa.-based Penn Virginia started at 4,912 ft. and drilled northeastward to measured depth of 10,500 ft., 5,997 ft. true vertical, to a bottomhole in the same section. While drilling the lateral in the Woodford, it cut a downthrown fault at about 7,400 ft. and the rest of the lateral was drilled in the Mississippian. Operations were temporarily suspended following unsuccessful production tests of the Mississippian between 7,830 ft. and 10,435 ft. The venture is in an area of Cimarron City East Field.

10 Citation Oil & Gas Corp. completed a multizone Ardmore Basin producer. The Houston-based company’s #1-25 Canyon initially pumped 492 bbl. of 34-gravity oil with 336,000 cu. ft. of gas and 404 bbl. of water per day through acidized and fractured perforations in eight Hunton intervals between 5,488 and 5,664 ft., and 20 intervals in the Viola section between 6,504 and 7,789 ft. Log tops at the venture include Hunton at 5,877 ft., Viola at 6,865 ft. and Simpson at 7,809 ft. The well was drilled to 7,902 ft. in Section 25-2s-3w in Carter County, Okla.

11 An Ardmore Basin exploratory prospect north of Madill, Okla., by Chesapeake Operating Inc., had an initial flow rate of 250 bbl. of 39.5-gravity oil, 941,000 cu. ft. of gas and 548 bbl. of water per day. The #1-3H Combs is in Section 3-5s-5e of Marshall County and was drilled to 14,420 ft. After five-stage fracturing, the wildcat was tested on a 64/64-in. choke producing from a horizontal Woodford interval between 9,975 and 14,377 ft. The shut-in and flowing tubing pressures were 2,013 psi and 199 psi, respectively. The new producer is about a mile from the northern flank of Madill Field. Chesapeake’s headquarters are in Oklahoma City, Okla.

12 IHS Inc. reported two western Arkansas salient Arkoma Basin producers by Fort Smith Ark.-based Stephens Production Co. The #3-6 J.B. Thomas, Section 6-5n-29w, Logan County, tested flowing 4.62 million cu. ft. of gas daily through perforations in seven fracture-stimulated intervals of undifferentiated Middle Atoka between 4,488 and 4,736 ft. Gauged on a 40/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 436 psi and shut-in tubing pressure was 835 psi. The well was drilled to 6,850 ft. in Gragg Field.

13 A second multizone producer by Stephens Production Co. flowed gas at an initial rate of 2.26 million cu. ft. per day at #20 E.C. Tomlin in Section 33-6n-30w in Sebastian County, Ark. Production was tested on a 48/64-in. choke and production zones were Basham at 2,565-90 ft.; Nichols, 3,590-3,620 ft.; Lower Nichols, 3,736-64 ft.; Upper Turner, 3,954-68 ft.; Lower Turner, 4,360-4,410 ft. and Upper Borum at 6,102-6,546 ft. Respective shut-in and flowing tubing pressures were 408 psi and 150 psi. Total depth is 6,700 ft.
