Commingled production comes from two treated intervals—Upper Mississippian at 6,968-7,010 ft. and the original perforations in (Basal Mississippian) Kinderhook at 7,820-34 ft. First completed in January 2004, the well flowed 68 bbl. of 39-gravity oil and 19,000 cu. ft. of gas daily from the Kinderhook interval. Tulsa-based Laredo reported log tops for Brown Dolomite at 3,110 ft.; Douglas, 4,930 ft.; Marmaton, 6,100 ft.; Morrow, 6,680 ft.; Mississippian, 6,950 ft.; and for Kinderhook, 7,820 ft.

6 EOG Resources Inc. of Houston has staked a Hugoton Embayment wildcat five miles northeast of Hugoton in southwestern Kansas. The #25#1 Bond will be drilled to 6,500 ft. to test Mississippian in Section 25-32s-37w of Stevens County. The area is surrounded by Permian gas producers above 3,000 ft. in the greater Panoma Gas Area. The closest well is in Willis Field, a prolific Mississippian accumulation that was discovered by EOG in June 2007.

7 A Kansas exploratory test by Oklahoma City-based Mica Energy Corp. reported an initial pump rate of 134 bbl. of 35-gravity oil per day. The #3-21 Randolph was drilled to 3,930 ft. in Section 21-5s-26w of Decatur County. Production comes from acidized perforations in Lansing-Kansas City ‘K’ at 3,848-57 ft. The Lansing Kansas City log tops include the A zone at 3,682 ft., G at 3,795 ft. and K at 3,846 ft. The prospect area is within two miles of Noone Field, a noncommercial one-well Lansing-Kansas City pool completed in 1967 on the southern end of the Cambridge Arch.

8 In Garvin County, Okla., Ranken Energy Corp. recovered oil and gas at a well drilled on the western end of the Pauls Valley Uplift. The #1-18 Jackson is in Section 18-3n-1w and was drilled to 5,493 ft. A drillstem test of an undisclosed interval recovered flows of both oil and gas, according to Delta Oil & Gas Inc., which owns a 5% working interest in the well. Well logs from the site indicate that up to nine separate potential pay zones lie in three separate geological formations. The well was set up as a 5,600-ft. test of Bromide and is waiting for a completion unit. It’s in an area of production from Deese, Viola, Bromide and Oil Creek in Antioch District East Field. Edmond, Okla.-based Ranken has a multiwell drilling program under way in the region.
