1 In Section 25-25s-30e of Eddy County, N.M., Bopco LP completed a horizontal Bone Spring well. The #1H PLU Phantom Banks 25-25-30 USA flowed 456 bbl. of 45-degree-gravity crude, 977,000 cu. ft. of gas and 2,335 bbl. of water per day from fracture-treated perforations at 9,853-14,124 ft. The well was drilled to 14,160 ft., 994 ft. true vertical. The #1H PLU Phantom Banks was originally permitted by Chesapeake Operating, Inc. with Bopco eventually taking over as operator of the well. Bopco’s headquarters are in Metairie, La.

2 In Andrews County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas, ICA Energy Operating LLC completed a vertical Pennsylvanian oil discovery. The #1 ICA University 37 pumped 166 bbl. of 42-degreegravity oil, 56,000 cu. ft. of gas and 8 bbl. of water daily from an acid-stimulated zone at 8,800-8,954 ft. The 10,013-ft. producer is on a 40-acre lease in Section 37, Block 9, University Lands Survey, on the Central Basin Platform of the Permian Basin. Site log tops include Wolfcamp at 7,918 ft.; Upper Wolfcamp detrital at 8,128 ft.; Lower Wolfcamp reef at 8,443 ft.; and Pennsylvanian lime at 8,783 ft. ICA Energy is based in Odessa, Texas.

3 Apache Corp. announced a high-volume producer in the Dalhart Basin’s Paint Ridge Field in Oldham County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The #10 Boys Ranch 116 is in Section 116, Block 47, H&TC Survey, A-808. The venture flowed 1,325 bbl. of 43-degree-gravity oil, 599,000 cu. ft. of gas and 120 bbl. of water per day from a fracture-stimulated Canyon Granite Wash zone at 9,280-9,300 ft. The flowing tubing pressure was 151 psi when tested on a 64/64-in. choke. The well was vertically drilled to 9,601 ft. Four offsets completed between December 2011 and April 2013 also produce from the Canyon Granite Wash. Apache is based in Houston.

4 A Dalhart Basin development well by Houston-based Apache Corp. flowed 1,685 bbl. of 43 degree-gravity oil with 1.23 million cu. ft. of gas and 39 bbl. of water per day. The #115R Bivins-LIT is in Section 115, Block 47, H&TC Survey, A-353, in Oldham County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The well was tested on an open choke producing from Canyon Granite Wash at 9,281-9,301 ft. following a small acid cleanup. The casing pressure was 544 psi and the flowing tubing pressure was 295 psi.

5 Devon Energy Corp. completed a horizontal Wolfcamp well in Sterling County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas, which extends Garden City South Field. The #1H Ellwood produced 82 bbl. of 40-degree-gravity oil and 2,244 bbl. of water per day through fracture-stimulated perforations at 8,278-16,002 ft. Gauged on a one-inch choke, the flowing casing pressure was 175 psi. A vertical pilot hole was drilled to 7,805 ft. with a horizontal leg kicked off at 6,600 ft. The venture was drilled to 16,069 ft. and the true vertical depth is 7,437 ft. The Oklahoma City-based company’s well is on the Eastern Shelf of the Permian Basin in Section 7, Block 2, H&TC RR Co. Survey, A-98.

6 An Anadarko Basin completion by Range Production Co. recovered 5.94 million cu. ft. of gas, 190 bbl. of 59-degreegravity condensate and 50 bbl. of water per day. According to IHS Inc., #1H Flowers C3 is in Clay CSL Survey, A-50, in Roberts County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. It was tested on a 12/64-in. choke producing from a treated open-hole interval of St. Louis at 9,910-11,943 ft. The well extends southward in the survey to a true vertical depth of 9,804 ft. Range recorded shut-in tubing pressure at 2,563 psi and flowing tubing pressure at 2,193 psi on an unreported choke size. The drillsite is offset to the southwest by a 3,717-ft. Permian gas well completed in 1949 in Cree-Flowers Field. Range’s headquarters are in Fort Worth.

7 Laredo Petroleum Inc. completed a Des Moines Granite Wash producer in the western Anadarko Basin’s Begert District 10 Field in Hemphill County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The venture produced 15.4 million cu. ft. of gas with 685 bbl. of 57-degreegravity condensate and 913 bbl. of water per day from a fracture-stimulated lateral at 11,520-15,876 ft. The #6H Clara Green 28 is in Section 28, Block 41, H&TC Survey, A-1161. Tested on a 41/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 3,613 psi. The prospect was drilled north-northeast across the section to 16,200 ft., 11,302 ft. true vertical depth. Laredo’s headquarters are in Tulsa.

8 Houston-based AC Operating Co LLC announced results from a Hardeman Basin discovery in Tillman County, Okla. The #1 Oxford is in Section 11-3s-18w and initially pumped 65 bbl. of 44 degree-gravity oil per day, with no gas or water. Production is from basal Strawn at 4,949-61 ft. following a small acid cleanup. It was drilled to 5,056 ft. and logged the top of Canyon at 3,120 ft. and Strawn at 3,999 ft. According to IHS Inc., the new well is half a mile west of largely inactive wells on the southern flank of Frederick South Field, a shallow Cisco-producing area at about 2,950 ft., formerly called Henderson Field.

9 A Caddo County, Okla., Hoxbar discovery was announced by Houston-based EOG Resources Inc. The eastern Anadarko Basin venture, #20#1H Farrow, is in Section 20-9n-10w and initially flowed 380 bbl. of 44-degree-gravity oil, 351,000 cu. ft. of gas and 730 bbl. of water per day. Production is from perforations at 10,291-14,109 ft. after acidizing and fracturing. The 14,250-ft. prospect was horizontally drilled northward and has a true vertical depth of 9,977 ft. Tested on an open choke, the shut-in tubing pressure was 4,600 psi and the flowing tubing pressure was 951 psi.

10 A GLB Exploration Inc. completion was reported at the company’s Oklahoma Coun - ty, Okla., pad site. The #1 Moose Lodge is in Section 35-12n-2w and was directionally drilled southward. It was tested pumping 90 bbl. of 35-degree-gravity crude, 112,000 cu. ft. of gas and 33 bbl. of load water per day. Production is from acidized and fracture-stimulated zones in Basal Pennsylvanian unconformity sand at 6,618-20 ft. and Hunton at 6,636-38 ft., 6,646-58 ft. and 6,666-76 ft. The well was drilled to 6,938 ft. and the true vertical depth was 6,579 ft. Oklahoma City-based GLB completed the first well on the pad—a vertical exploratory test—in 2011 at #1 O’Neill. That well pumped 127 bbl. of 35-degree-gravity oil, 165,000 cu. ft. of gas and 95 bbl. of load water per day from acidized and fractured intervals of Basal Pennsylvanian unconformity sand at 6,352-60 ft., and Hunton at 6,368-6,410 ft.

11 In Love County, Okla., Irving, Texas-based Silver Creek Oil & Gas LLC completed a Marietta-Sherman Basin exploratory test as a Cambro-Ordovician Arbuckle producer. The #28-1H Aggie is in Section 28-8s-2e. It pumped 185 bbl. of 43-degree-gravity crude with 171,000 cu. ft. of gas and 667 bbl. of water per day. Production is from an acidized and fracture-stimulated openhole lateral at 6,700-11,730 ft. The true vertical depth is 7,923 ft. The drillsite is on the eastern flank of Thackerville North Field. Silver Creek is also under way at #21-1H Tiger in Section 21-8s-2e and at last report was flowing back fracturing fluids.

12 ExxonMobil subsidiary XTO Energy Inc. has completed the first of four horizontal Caney tests from a common pad in Carter County, Okla. The #2-2H Sweeten is in Section 2-4s-2e and flowed 2.24 million cu. ft. of gas, 141 bbl. of 50-degree-gravity condensate and 229 bbl. of water per day. Production is from a north lateral at 14,010-17,327 ft. that was fracture-stimulated in 12 stages. The venture was tested on a 12/64-in. choke and the shut-in tubing pressure was 4,350 psi; the flowing tubing pressure was 3,300 psi. Drilled to 17,430 ft., the well has a true vertical depth of 13,245 ft. According to XTO, the Caney reservoir underlying Section 2 has 5% average porosity, 30% average water saturation and is about 520 ft. thick. XTO’s headquarters are in Houston.
