Ray R. Seegmiller, former president, chief executive and chairman of Cabot Oil & Gas Corp., Houston, died on May 28 at age 74 in Houston.
Seegmiller was born on May 15, 1935, in Dysart, Iowa. He graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with a bachelor of business administration. Seegmiller retired as president, CEO and chairman of Cabot in May 2002. Previous positions include president of the Domestic Petroleum Council, president and CEO of Terry Petroleum and various executive positions including president and CEO with including president and CEO with Marathon Manufacturing Co. He began his career as an accountant for Arthur Andersen & Co.
