Lukoil Overseas Holding Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Russia-based Lukoil, plans to acquire Chaparral Resources Inc., White Plains, N.Y., (OTCBB: CHAR) for $5.80 per share in cash, giving the transaction a total value of approximately $88.6 million. Petrie Parkman & Co. Inc. was advisor to Lukoil. Chaparral Resources has operations in Kazakhastan, where it has proved reserves of 45.3 million barrels of oil and 2005 annual production of 3.5 million barrels of oil from 80 wells, including 61 producing wells and nine water-injection wells.
