5 At its second horizontal Haynesville shale well in Woodwardville Field, Denver-based Forest Oil Corp. announced a sales-line rate of 20.3 million cu. ft. of gas equivalent per day through perforations at 12,810-16,322 ft. Located in Section 13-41n-10w of Red River Parish, La., #1 Driver 13H had a flowing casing pressure of 6,500 psi. The 16,482-ft. well was completed with a horizontal leg of 3,500 ft. and a 10-stage fracture treatment. Forest, which has a 100% working interest in the well, holds approximately 11,050 net acres in Louisiana prospective for Haynesville shale.

6 On the Bienville Parish side of Woodwardville Field, Questar Exploration & Production Co., Salt Lake City, completed a horizontal Haynesville shale well. The #1 Shelby Interests 31H is in Section 31-15n-9w and was tested flowing 21.74 million cu. ft. of gas, 2 bbl. of 49.8-degree condensate and 263 bbl. of water per day. The well produces through fracture-stimulated perforations at 12,909-16,671 ft. On a 26/64-in. choke, flowing casing pressure was 6,000 psi. The Questar well was drilled to a total depth of 16,945 ft. (12,539 ft., true vertical).
