The nearest Prairie du Chien discovery is two miles southwest in Hickey Creek Field.

2 Traverse City, Mich.-based Jordan Development Co. LLC has scheduled a pair of 3,600-ft. wildcats to target Trenton and Black River in southern Branch County, Mich., about four miles from Montgomery. The #10-34 Young is in Section 34-7s-5w, Algansee Township, and #3-3 Pridgeon Land is 0.5-mile south in Section 3-8s-5w, California Township. The locations are four to five miles west-southwest of abandoned Reading Field, reports IHS Inc.

3 Edinburg, Ill.-based Ronald G. Lockwood has scheduled a pair of wildcats for Illinois’ Sangamon County 0.5 mile south of Pawnee. Both #1-L and #2-L Barlow Putnam Family Trust are in Section 18-13n-4w and are set up as 2,000-ft. Silurian tests. Four-well Pawnee Field is 2.5 miles north-northeast.

4 Houston independent Noble Energy Inc. has scheduled four wildcats for Indiana’s Sullivan County. The #1-6H Barker is in Section 7-6n-9w, nearly three miles northwest of Carlisle, and is projected to reach 2,475 ft. Its objective is New Albany shale. New Albany production is 0.25 mile away in Carlisle North Field. The #2-12H Acheson is in Section 12-6n-10w and will reach a depth of 2,504 ft. about 0.33-mile from Carlisle North Field. The #1-24H Ray Deckard and #2-24H Ray Deckard are both in Section 24-7n-9w. Both wells are slated to 2,300 ft. and are almost three miles northeast of Paxton West Field.

5 A pair of shallow wildcats will target gas in New Albany shale in Indiana’s Knox County. Aurora Energy Ltd., Traverse City, Mich., has scheduled #1-119 Debord and #1-224 Perry for depths of 2,750 and 2,600 ft., respectively. The former is in Section 119-2n-8w about three miles southeast of Wheatland, and the latter is in Section 224, 3.2 miles east of Monroe City. Nearest New Albany production comes from Maysville Field about two miles northwest of #1-119 Debord.

6 Ravenna, Ohio-based Beck Energy Corp. will drill #1 Catherine King to a projected depth of 2,800 ft. in Section 3, Green Township, Antioch Quad, Monroe County. The objective is Gordon. The site is 4.4 miles northeast of Antioch, Ohio, and 2.2 miles west of nearest production in Langs Field, from Buel Run.

7 A pair of 3,000-ft. wildcats will target Ohio shale in Ohio’s Gallia County, some 9.4 miles southwest of Gallipolis, in Section 24, Harrison Township, Mercerville Quad. Traverse City, Mich.-based Epsilon Energy USA Inc. will target oil and gas with its #DW1-24 Kathryn N. & Noel F. Massie and #DW1-24B ventures. Nearest production is from Clinton at an unnamed field four miles northeast, reports IHS Inc.

8 Denver, Colo.-based Ansbro Petroleum Co. LLC has scheduled three wildcats for Tompkins County, N.Y. The #1A Barron is projected to 6,652 ft. to target Black River lime in Section B, Ludlowville Quad, Lansing Township, 6.7 miles northeast of Trumansburg, N.Y. Oriskany production comes from an unnamed field about 6.8 miles southeast. The #1 E. Cooke is in Section C and will also target Black River lime at a depth of 8,687 ft. about 9.2 miles north of Lansing. The unnamed field is about 6.2 miles from the second wildcat. The #2 R. Turek is a 9,225-ft. test about 8.1 miles northeast of Trumansburg.

9 A deep horizontal wildcat will target Black River lime in New York’s Steuben County. Fortuna Energy Inc., a unit of Talisman Energy Inc., Calgary, will drill #1 D. Bosket to total vertical depth of 8,854 ft. in Section C, Campbell Quad, Campbell Township, some 5.8 miles north of Painted Post. Nearest recovery is 2.8 miles north, from Trenton-Black River in an unnamed field.

10 Three more wildcats have been scheduled for Cabot Oil & Gas Corp.’s exploration program in northeastern Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna County, south of Montrose. The projects are all projected to 7,500 ft., including #1 Heitsman, #2 Heitsman and #3 Gesford. The Houston company has staked 14 wildcats in the area since October 2006. Its first well was 26 miles southeast of Stagecoach Field, which has produced gas from Oriskany and Helderberg.

11 Three Upper Devonian wildcats in Lycoming County, Pa., have been slated by Range Resources-Appalachia of Fort Worth, Texas. The #2H McWilliams Unit will reach a projected depth of 8,000 ft. in Section 3, Salladasburg Quad, Cogan House Township, about 6.9 miles east of an unnamed Upper Devonian field. The #4H Ogontz Fishing Club is in Section 6, Waterville Quad, Cumming Township. Nearest recovery comes from Huntersville in Salladasburg Field, some 4.2 miles north. The #3H Ogontz Fishing Club is in Section 5, Waterville Quad, Cummings Township. Projected to a depth of 8,000 ft., this well is 4.3 miles north of Salladasburg Field.

12 Englewood, Colo.-based MegaEnergy Operating Inc. will drill #1 Mallow to a projected depth of 8,800 ft. to target Oriskany sand in Union Dist., Onego Quad, Pendleton County, W.Va., more than 10 miles northwest of Franklin. Nearest Oriskany production comes from an unnamed field less than two miles east.

13 A pair of 4,500-ft. wildcats will target Weir sand in West Virginia’s Mercer County. Mason, Mich.-based Dart Oil & Gas Corp. plans to drill #050802 Coleman and #050801 Melissa Beth Jackson et al. in Beaver Pond Dist., Bramwell Quad, within three miles of Bramwell. Weir and Big Lime produce from unnamed fields within three miles.

14 A 4,000-ft. Clinton shale test has been slated for eastern Kentucky’s Bell County about 9.2 miles northeast of Pineville. London, Ky.-based Vinland Energy Operations LLC’s #1 Slusher-Dooley is in Section 14-e-71e. An unnamed field produces from Maxton about 1.7 miles northeast, reports IHS Inc.

15 Four Sequatchie tests have been scheduled by Moon Township, Pa.-based Atlas America Inc. for Tennessee’s Anderson County. The #CC-2239 and #CC-2237 Coal Creek Mining & Manufacturing Co. are both in Section 7-5s-64e and will be drilled to a depth of more than 3,900 ft. Both are in Lake City Quad less than eight miles from Clinton, Tenn. The #CC-2160 is projected to a depth of 4,595 ft. and is 2.4 miles northeast of the nearest production, from Monteagle, in an unnamed field. The 5,160-ft. #CC-1122 is in Section 8-5s-63e, Duncan Flats Quad.
