In Section 22, #14 APX flowed 29 bbl. of oil and 200 bbl. of water per day and the well was drilled to 4,154 ft. Also in Section 22, #6 Madeline Austin was tested at a rate of 120 bbl. of crude and 200 bbl. of water per day through perforations at 3,986-4,121 ft. First oil from Concord Consolidated Field was reported in 1942.

6 Rex Energy Corp. is preparing to deepen an exploratory test in Gibson County, Ind. The #10-1 William Koza-State of Indiana was initially spudded in March, but drilling was stopped at 4,738 ft. due to rising waters of the nearby Wabash River. The wildcat was permitted to 3,900 ft. and targets Warsaw oil pay. An amended permit now allows Rex Energy to drill the Griffin Consolidated Field venture to 7,500 ft. in Section 15-3s-13w to Trenton. Southwest, in Posey County, the State College, Pa.-based company also has a permit for #19 Pocket Realty in Section 2-4s-14w, targeting Devonian at 5,400 ft.

7 According to IHS Inc., Houston-based Petrodome Operating LLC has scheduled a 12,000-ft. wildcat in Alabama's Monroe County in an attempt to extend Monroeville North Field east. The #1 Petrodome-Sputnik 6-10 will be in Section 6-6n-8e. The directional test, which will apparently target Haynesville, is scheduled to bottom to the southeast. About two miles west are several Frisco City oil producers in Monroeville North Field.

8 A Black Warrior Basin wildcat has been staked in a lightly drilled area in Cullman County, Ala., by Griffin Resources Inc. The Bixby, Okla.-based company's #1 Crawford 4-14 will be in Section 4-13s-4w; the proposed total depth was not disclosed. About eight miles northeast of #1 Crawford 4-14 is a 1,998-ft. test, #06-07-04 Montgomery, drilled in 2008. The venture flowed 120,000 cu. ft. of gas and 166 bbl. of water daily through an openhole Chattanooga zone at 1,771-1,998 ft.

9 In Section 2-3n-12e in Escambia County, Ala., Pruet Production Co. made a Smackover oil discovery. The #1 Cedar Creek Land & Timber 2-4 flowed 126 bbl. of 45.8-degree-gravity crude per day through perforations at 12,130-34 ft. It was directionally drilled to 12,330 ft. and bottomed to the east. To the southeast, Sklar Exploration has started drilling a Smackover wildcat in Conecuh County—#1 Cedar Creek Land & Timber 21-2, which is expected to bottom at 12,679 ft. Pruet's headquarters are in Jackson, Miss.

10 Savoy Energy LP has received a permit to drill two Adrian Field tests in Lenawee County, Mich. The #1-19 Hall in Section 19-6s-4e has a proposed depth of 3,895 ft. Most land in the U.S. is divided into townships—rectangular tracts six miles square. The township, in turn, is divided into 36 numbered sections, each a one-mile square. The lines running north-south and dividing east from west are called range lines. The lines running east-west and dividing north from south are township lines.

A well in Section 15-Township 4 north-Range 3 east is abbreviated: 15-4n-3e.
