Unit now owns 17.79% or 4.9 million shares of Shenandoah. • Enerplus Resources Fund, Vancouver, has acquired a private Canadian pension resource corporation that owns producing properties in western Canada for C$104 million. The properties produced approximately 2,650 BOE per day during third-quarter 2000. • Elk Point Resources Inc., Calgary, plans to purchase light crude oil and gas assets in the Pouce Coupe and Valhalla areas of Alberta for C$28.6 million. Current daily net production is 3.19 million cu. ft. of gas, 470 bbl. of oil and 35 bbl. of gas liquids. • Vintage Petroleum Inc., Tulsa, has purchased Cometra Energy (Canada) Ltd. from Electrafina , part of Groupe Brussels Lambert SA , for approximately $46.6 million and the assumption of estimated net liabilities of approximately $6.7 million. • Kicking Horse Resources Ltd., Calgary, plans to acquire a private arm's-length Calgary-based producer for C$22.1 million and up to C$4 million of Kicking Horse common shares. • Tom Brown Inc., Denver, plans to acquire Stellarton Energy Corp. for C$5 per share and assume net debt of approximately C$14.5 million, resulting in a deal value of C$94.8 million. Lehman Brothers Inc. was dealer-manager. • Empire Energy Corp., Overland Park, Kan., plans to acquire Commonwealth Energy Corp. , White Rock, B.C., for US$11 million through the issuance of approximately 5- to 6 million Empire shares.
