EOG Resources Inc. announced a horizontal Austin Chalk oil completion in a lightly developed part of Avoyelles Parish, La. The #1 Eagles Ranch 14H flowed 1.12 Mbbl of 43-degree-gravity crude, 1.157 MMcf of gas and 2.947 Mbbl of water. Production is from acid- and fracture-treated perforations at 16,275-20,550 ft. The horizontal sidetrack was drilled to 20,662 ft with a true vertical depth of 16,026 ft. The Bayou Jack North Field well is in irregular Section 14-2s-4e and bottomed 1 mile to the southwest in Section 27. EOG’s headquarters are in Houston.
