Encana Corp. completed a high-volume horizontal Haynesville shale well as part of Martin Field in Section 11-13n-9w, Red River Parish, La. Encana's #1 Thelma Lawson 11H was tested flowing 28.03 million cu. ft. of gas and 1,296 bbl. of water per day through fracture-treated perforations at 13,096-16,631 ft. Gauged on a 32/64-in. choke, flowing casing pressure was 7,130 psi. The producer was drilled to 16,730 ft., 12,618 ft. true vertical, and the plug-back depth is 16,641 ft. Encana's headquarters are in Calgary.
