Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Pruet Production Co. plans to drill a directional wildcat in Baldwin County, between Alabama’s Latham and Hubbards Landing fields. According to IHS Markit, #1 Nelson 53 will be in irregular Section 53-2n-2e and is targeting Paluxy oil with a proposed total depth of 9,250 ft, 9,200 ft true vertical. Latham Field, which was discovered by Pruet in 1985 with the completion of #1 Nelson-Reynolds 35, was tested flowing 188 bbl of crude per day from Paluxy at 8,046-50 ft. Total depth is 9,636 ft. Jackson, Miss.-based Pruet operated most of the wells in Latham field, which yield crude from Paluxy at 7,842-8,513 ft. About 1 mile south of #1 Nelson 53 is Hubbards Landing Field, an active oil reservoir operated by Pruet, which yields crude from Dantzler at 6,631-35 ft, Washita-Fredericksburg Lime at 7,940-8,218 ft and Paluxy at 8,672-78 ft.
