Description
A directional test in Flora East Field has been scheduled by Spooner Petroleum Co. in Madison County, Miss. The #1 Howard 23-1 will be in Section 24-9n-1w and the planned true vertical depth is 11,000 ft, with a lower Cretaceous objective by the Ridgeland, Miss.-based company. Flora East Field was opened by Spooner in 1985 at #2 Howard 13-14 in Section 13. It produced 125 bbl of 33-degree-gravity crude per day from Rodessa at 9,351-56 ft. The well was shut-in in 2012 and cumulative recovery was 279.295 Mbbl of crude. Flora East Field yielded crude from a range of perforations, including Washita—Fredericksburg at 7,315-66 ft, Paluxy at 7,970-83 ft and Rodessa at 9,304-9,776 ft. Most of the wells in the reservoir are operated by Spooner.
