Devon Energy Corp. announced results from the company’s first completion at its increased density pilot program in the Stack play. The Anadarko Basin venture is in Section 3-16m-12w of Blaine County, Okla. According to IHS Markit, #1HX Coyote 3_10-16N-12W initially flowed 8.2 Mboe per day (approximately 4.92 Mbbl of oil and 19.7 MMcf of gas) from a Meramec reservoir. The Watonga-Chickasha Trend prospect was drilled about 2 miles to 20,508 ft with a bottomhole location in Section 10-16n-12w. According to Oklahoma City-based Devon, the Meramec reservoir underlying the two-section unit averages about 400 ft in thickness, has 5% average porosity and 45% average water saturation. Recoverable original oil- and gas-in-place are calculated at 2.1 MMbbl and 14.7 Bcf for each section.
