In Rusk County (RRC Dist. 6), Texas, KJ Energy LLC has completed a Cotton Valley gas well in the company’s Brachfield Southeast Field development program. The #1H Carleton-Cyphers flowed 11.33 MMcf of gas, 22 bbl of condensate and 1.022 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from acidized and fractured perforations at 10,854-14,245 ft. The horizontal well was drilled on a 974-acre lease in Robert Tippit Survey, A-773. The total depth is 14,344 ft and bottomed to the northwest at a true vertical depth of 10,297 ft in William Howeth Survey, A-380. The horizontal portion of the well was completed following the drilling of an 11,300-ft vertical pilot hole. KJ is based in Dallas.
