According to the Rocky Mountain Oil Journal, ConocoPhillips subsidiary Burlington Resources is expanding its prospect inventory in the Denver-Julesburg Basin by proposing several horizontal Niobrara wildcats inside the city limits of Aurora, Colo. In a continuation of their Niobrara play, all of the ventures will have measured depths of about 18,200 ft and true vertical depths near 8,000 ft and will be bottom in Section 19-4s-65w in Arapahoe County. The ventures are #4-65 20-19 2AH Grande; #4-65 20-19 1BH Grande; #4-65 20-19 1CH Grande and #4-65 20-19 1DH Grande. Since June 2014 the operator has staked 25 horizontal Niobrara permits within 4s-65w. ConocoPhillips is based in Houston.
