Drilling Activity Summary
Description
London-based BP Plc completed two Haynesville Shale wells in East Texas’ Carthage Field. The horizontal wells were drilled from offsetting surface locations in Angelina County (RRC Dist. 6), Robert Fenner Survey, A-725, and bottomed about 1.5 miles to the south in Susannah Martin Survey, A-444. The #1H Saber Gas Unit flowed 13.319 MMcf of gas and 150 bbl of water per day from fracture-treated perforations at 15,915-23,222 ft. It was tested on a 15/64-in. choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 10,672 psi. The 23,275-ft well has a true vertical depth of 16,299 ft. The offsetting #1HB Saber Gas Unit flowed 12.58 MMcf of gas and 150 bbl of water per day with production from perforations at 16,287-23,296 ft. It was drilled to 23,318 ft, 16,301 ft true vertical. Gauged on a 17/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 9,976 psi.
