Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: APC) launched a binding open season on Dec. 13 to identify interest in a new high-vapor-pressure oil-gathering and treating system serving portions of Reeves, Loving, Ward, and Winkler Counties in West Texas.
The system is expected to have a gathering capacity of about 400,000 barrels per day of oil (bbl/d) and a treating capacity of 120,000 bbl/d by the end of 2018, increasing to 180,000 bbl/d in 2019 with future expansions as needed.
Subject to satisfaction of regulatory requirements and other project considerations, Anadarko expects the initial phase of the system to be operational in the second-quarter of 2018.
The binding open season began on Dec. 13 and ends at 5 p.m. CT on Dec. 28.
