ZaZa Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: ZAZA) appointed Paul F. Jansen as its CFO, the company said May 20. He replaced Ian H. Fay in the role, the company added. Jansen will also continue as the chief accounting officer, the company said.
Company president and CEO Todd A. Brooks said that the two offices were consolidated.
Previously, Jansen was controller and chief accounting officer for Houston-based Crimson Exploration Inc. (NASDAQ: CXPO), which merged with Contango Oil & Gas Co. (NYSE MKT: MCF) last year, the company said. He also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the company added.Brooks added, “Paul Jansen is a talented financial professional who has demonstrated tremendous capability as our CAO [chief accounting officer]. His experience at the company makes him uniquely qualified to hold the consolidated position and ensures a seamless transition as we move forward.”
Houston-based ZaZa Energy Corp. explores and produces domestic unconventional oil and natural gas.
