Description
A completion in Goliad County (RRC Dist. 2), Texas, by Alta Mesa Services Ltd, has re-established Wilcox production in Manahuilla Field. The #1 Willms Gas Unit is flowing 990 Mcf of gas, 17 bbl of 43.9-degree-gravity oil and 356 bbl of water per day from fracture-stimulated perforations at 8,934-9,447 ft. The 9,700-ft well was drilled on a 288.3-acre Central Texas Coast lease in Jose Maria Mancha Survey, A-203. It was tested on a 26/64-in. choke with a flowing casing pressure of 450 psi and a shut-in casing pressure of 3,525 psi. The new producer is a southwest offset to #1 August Willms, a 7,769-ft Wilcox well completed in 1958. Alta Mesa is based in Houston.
