Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Houston-based Square Mile Energy has reopened Paul Field in Colorado County (RRC Dist. 3), Texas, with the completion of a Wilcox gas well. The #1 Martin flowed 2.286 MMcf of gas, 194 bbl of condensate and six bbl of water per day through fracture-treated perforations in Midway (Wilcox) at 12,215-25 ft. The directional well was drilled to 12,600 ft, 12,493 ft true vertical, and is on a 438.5-acre lease in James Cummins Survey, A-12. It was tested on a 7/64-in. choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 6,740 psi. Nearby production is more than one mile southeast of several wells in Columbus Field along the Upper Texas Coast from active Wilcox wells that produce oil and gas from perforations at 7,800-9,800 ft.
