Description
Two horizontal Three Forks producers were completed by Whiting Oil & Gas Corp. from a common drillpad in Section 3-152n-97w in McKenzie County, N.D. The #41-3TFHU Skaar-Federal flowed 6.071 Mboe/d from a lateral in the second bench of Three Forks. It was tested following 30-stage fracture stimulation with a cemented liner and plug-and-perf. The planned depth was 21,175 ft, 10,755 ft true vertical, and it was drilled south-southwestward and bottomed in Section 10-152n-97w. The #41-3TFH Skaar-Federal initially flowed 6.634 Mboe/d. Production is from a fractured Upper Three Forks lateral. The 21,358-ft well was drilled south-southwestward to 21,358 ft, 10,758 ft true vertical, and bottomed in Section 10-152n-97w. Further details are not yet available from the Tarpon prospects in the Twin Valley-Bakken pool.
