Description

IHS Markit reported that Denver-based Whiting Oil & Gas Corp. has completed two horizontal producers from a common drillpad in the western Williston Basin. The drillpad is in Section 31-152n-99w in McKenzie County, N.D. The #44-31-2TFH Koala was tested flowing 2.527 Mbbl of oil, 3.66 MMcf of gas and 2.635 Mbbl of water per day from Three Forks. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 11,464 ft northward to 20,876 ft, 11,132 ft true vertical, at a bottom-hole location in Section 30-152n-99w. Following 35-stage fracturing, it was tested between 11,520 and 20,681 ft. The #44-31H Koala initially flowed 2.356 Mbbl of oil, 2.58 MMcf of gas and 2.3 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal Middle Bakken lateral extending from 11,421 ft northward to 20,598 ft. The true vertical depth is 11,237, and it bottomed in Section 30-152n-99w. It was tested following 35-stage fracturing at 11,498-20,336 ft.
