IHS Markit reported that Whiting Petroleum Inc. brought online 13 horizontal Bakken/Three Forks wells at its Rolla Federal Unit in McKenzie County, N.D. The wells were completed flowing an average of 3.727 Mbbl of oil equivalent per day. The Rolla-Federal wells were drilled from common drillpads in Section 3-152n-97w, with six completions in Middle Three Forks, four in Upper Three Forks and three in Middle Bakken. Measured total depths range from 12,200 to 12,900 ft. Bottom-hole locations are generally to the south in Section 9 and Section 10-152n-97w. The 13 Whiting producers are in Twin Valley Field. Completion details for the wells are not currently available. Whiting’s headquarters are in Denver.
