Overview:
imgWhile E&P assets have long traded hands through bankruptcy proceedings, the current economic environment is squeezing many cash-strapped oil and gas companies to where many more than usual will be forced to seek relief from creditors through a Chapter 11 filing. Most of these filings result in a liquidation of assets. How does an opportunistic acquirer prepare to navigate the legal maze to buy assets from bankrupt companies? What strategies can give buyers an advantage? What are the pros and cons of buying assets from bankruptcy? These experts will answer these questions and more in “Buying E&P Assets Out Of Bankruptcy” webinar moderated by A&D Watch editor, Steve Toon.

You will learn:
• Why buying assets in bankruptcy offer unique advantages to buying assets in a traditional sale;
• How to get at the front of the line when negotiating for bankrupt assets and how to set the guidelines for acquisition that all other potential acquirers must meet or beat;
• Why the “highest and best offer” is often not the highest offer.
