Gas production in the Marcellus continues to rise, despite a 50% reduction in gas-directed drilling since March 2012. This rise in production is attributed to the sweet spots in the Pennsylvania Marcellus, where just two counties produce a combined 4 Bcf per day. That's more than the entire U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
