Marathon Oil added to its Delaware Basin position with a $700 million bolt-on less than two weeks after entering the basin. In Oklahoma, White Star Petroleum announced an A&D triple in the Midcontinent and Gastar Exploration tacked on to its Stack position in its first significant acquisition since 2015. Also, a federal lease sale in the Gulf of Mexico signaled the downturn has not crushed offshore exploration.
