Description

Montana Exploration Corp. completed an exploratory well in Blaine County, Mont. The Calgary-based company’s #2-5 Cherry Patch NW is in Section 5-34n-21e and is producing from Upper Bowes (Jurassic) perforations at 4,292-4,302 ft. It was drilled to 4,446 ft and cased to 4,433 ft. Nearby production is to the west at a Shallow Cretaceous Eagle gas producer in Thirty Mile Field—the 1984 completion, #8-9 Federal, is a Sawtooth pay discovery that is pumping 91 bbl of oil per day from perforations at 4,224-39 ft.
