Crescent Point Energy has received a permit to drill a horizontal exploratory test targeting the Castle Peak member of Green River in the Uinta Basin. The #14-10-3-1E-H1 Winn will be in Section 10-3s-1e of Uintah County, Utah. It will be drilled to the north and the planned depth is 13,170 ft, 8,269 ft true vertical. Nearby production is to the northeast at the company’s #3-16-3-1E Daddy-Womack. The 2013 discovery initially flowed 30 bbl of oil and 253 bbl of water per day. Production at the 9,967-ft discovery is from Green River at 7,462-8385 ft, and a fractured Wasatch interval at 8,385-9,889 ft. Crescent Point’s headquarters are in Calgary.
