Drilling Activity Summary

Description

A Lavaca County (RRC Dist. 2), Texas, test on the Central Texas Coast is planned by Dallas-based Trek Resources Inc. According to an unapproved permit, #1 D. Morton will be drilled to 7,000 ft. It is on a 157.5-acre lease in Archibald S. White Survey, A-56. The Frio (Seclusion Southeast Field) and Cockfield (Seclusion Field) are listed as potential objectives, in addition to a deeper wildcat zone. Nearby production is at #1 Schilhab, which is about a mile to the east. According to IHS, the 1991 completion was drilled to 6,512 ft and tested flowing 4.5 MMcf/d of gas from perforations at 6,155-6,229 ft. Now operated by XTO Energy Inc., to-date production is 6.1 Bcf of gas and 45.35 Mbbl of condensate. In 2006, a shallower Frio zone at 3,100-28 ft was also completed. During five years, this interval produced an additional 450.5 MMcf of gas as a part of Wayside Field.
