Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Chesapeake Operating Inc. completed three horizontal Sussex-Powder River Basin producers in the Smith Creek (Deep) Federal Exploratory Unit in Converse County, Wyo. The wells were drilled from a common drillpad in Section 8-32n-70w. The #8-32-70 B SX 5H Smith Creek flowed 3.046 MMcf of gas, 765 bbl of 61.9-degree-gravity condensate and 175 bbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 10,521 ft north-northwestward to 17,320 ft, 10,107 ft true vertical. It bottomed in Section 6-32n-70w and was tested on a 20/64-in. choke following 18-stage fracturing at 11,882-17,198 ft. The #8-32-70 B SX 7H Smith Creek initially flowed 4.099 MMcf of gas, 970 bbl of 61.6-degree-gravity condensate and 45 bbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 10,478 ft northward to 15,500 ft, 10,098 ft true vertical. It bottomed in Section 5-32n-70w and was tested on a 20/64-in. choke following 16-stage fracturing at 10,550-15,385 ft. The #8-32-70 B SX 9H Smith Creek flowed 2.519 MMcf of gas, 875 bbl of 59.5-degree-gravity condensate and 29 bbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 10,524 ft north-northeastward to 15,618 ft. The true vertical depth is 10,084 ft, and it bottomed in Section 5-32n-70w. It was tested on a 20/64-in. choke following 17-stage fracturing at 10,482-15,595 ft.
