New details have been reported by LLOG Exploration for the company’s drilling plan for Green Canyon Block 478 (OCS G35662), northeast of the producing K2 and Shenzi fields. Up to three exploratory tests could be drilled from separate surface locations at the Covington, La.-based company’s Mormont prospect in the eastern half of Block 478. Area water depth is 3,752 ft. Nearby drilling is to the northeast on Block 435, where several Miocene and Pleistocene tests have been drilled.
