SandRidge Energy Inc. (NYSE: SD) appointed John Suter as senior vice president of production, the company said April 23. The appointment becomes effective April 27.
Most recently, Suter was vice president of the Woodford business unit at American Energy Partners LP.
Suter also was vice president of operations for Chesapeake Energy Corp.'s (NYSE: CHK) western division, including the Eagle Ford, Permian and Rockies. While there, he was also district manager for Chesapeake’s Barnett Shale and southern Oklahoma assets.
He also worked at Continental Resources Inc. (NYSE: CLR), Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. (NYSE: COG) and Petro-Lewis Corp.
He previously worked with Steve Turk, SandRidge’s executive vice president and COO.
Suter has a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University.
