Summit Midstream Partners LP (NYSE: SMLP) appointed Rene L. Casadaban as the senior vice president and chief operating officer of its general partner, Summit Midstream GP LLC, the company said Jan. 8.
"Rene's broad experience across our platform and deep industry background in crude oil, natural gas and project management make him uniquely qualified to execute and manage the significant development and expansion projects that we have across the entire Summit enterprise in crude oil, water transportation, and gas gathering and processing. We believe that this change in organizational structure positions Summit for continued success and improved operations as we expand our service offerings and geographic footprint," said Steve Newby, president and CEO of Summit Midstream GP LLC.
Since May 2012, Casadaban was senior vice president, engineering, construction and operations for the general partner, the company said.
From Feb. 2011 to April 2012, Casadaban worked for the limited liability company (LLC) known as Summit Investments—Summit Midstream Partners LLC—that owns Summit Midstream GP. He was senior vice president of engineering, construction and operations there, the company said.
Casadaban has 23 years of onshore, offshore and deepwater pipeline systems experience, the company said. Prior to working for the Summit group, he worked for Enterprise Products Partners LP (NYSE: EPD), the company added.
Summit Midstream Partners LP is a limited partnership that owns and operates midstream energy infrastructure assets in North American shale formations. It is based in Dallas.
