Spyglass Resources Corp. (TO: SGL, OTC: SGLRF) appointed Michael Rapps to its board of directors, the company said Sept. 22. He replaced George Armoyan, who stepped down, the company added.

"We wish to thank Mr. Armoyan for his significant contribution to the company and are pleased to welcome Mr. Rapps to the board", said Tom Buchanan, chairman of the board.

"Mr. Rapps' business experience will add a valuable perspective to our board,” he added.

Currently, Rapps is president and CEO of Clarke Inc. investment company. Clarke Inc. owns about 5% of Spyglass’ issued and outstanding shares, the company noted.

Recently, Rapps was managing director of Geosam Capital Inc., a private industrial and real estate-focused investment company, Spyglass said. Prior to that, he practiced law at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, the company said, noting that he has degrees from McGill University.

He also serves on the boards of Clarke Inc., Holloway Lodging Corp. and Supremex Inc., the company noted.

Calgary, Alberta-based Spyglass Resources Corp. operates oil and natural gas properties in western Canada.
