On July 28, Baker & McKenzie said that Denmon Sigler joined the firm as a partner, adding more than 17 years of experience advising clients globally on energy-related transactions including M&A, joint ventures and project development.

Baker & McKenzie said she will be a member of the firm’s North American banking, finance and major projects practice, and the North America oil and gas practice.

Sigler is based in Houston, advising on exploration and development of conventional and unconventional resources both on and offshore in the upstream sector. Sigler also advises clients on midstream A&D and pipeline and gathering/processing systems, and also advises for the downstream sector.

Sigler is the latest in a series of partner hires for the firm in Houston.

Energy transactions lawyer Rocio Guadalupe Mendoza, who has practiced in Houston for more than five years, is Sigler’s associate. Mendoza and Sigler joined Baker & McKenzie from Winston & Strawn LLP, and both previously worked at Baker Botts LLP.

Sigler earned a bachelor’s degree from Rice University and a law degree from South Texas College of Law.
