James D. Shockney, CFO of Houston-based Rooster Energy Ltd. (TSXV: COQ), died March 17, the company said March 24.
According to CEO Robert P. Murphy, Shockney had been at the company since 2007, through the reverse merger in 2012 and the recent acquisitions of Cochon Properties LLC and Morrison Well Services LLC.
Rooster has begun the search process for a new CFO, and current accounting staff members will perform Shockney’s duties, the company said.
Rooster Energy Ltd. develops shallow-water U.S. Gulf of Mexico resources and provides well services.
