American Energy Partners LP (AELP) said Jan. 19 that it hired David C. Shiels as the CEO of its affiliate American Energy-Midstream LLC (AE-MidCo).
Previously, Shiels spent five years as the CFO for Access Midstream Partners LP (NYSE: ACMP) and Chesapeake Midstream Partners, AELP said.
Prior to that, he held regional CFO roles with subsidiaries of General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE) for 13 years. Most recently, he was CFO of GE Security Americas. Prior to GE, he spent nine years with Conoco Inc. in finance and operational roles.
Shiels has a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University.
AE-MidCo was formed by AELP in June 2014 to acquire midstream assets in high-growth areas where AELP upstream affiliates operate.
American Energy Partners is based in Oklahoma City.
