Ruy Olivier Serra joined the board of Eland Oil & Gas Plc as an executive director and as CFO, the company said May 31. The company operates in West Africa and initially is focused on Nigeria.
Most recently, Serra was an independent adviser to oil and gas companies with SPTEC Advisory firm. He has more than 23 years of energy and oil and gas experience.
Between 2010 and 2015, he was CFO and director of Sea Dragon Energy.
Prior to joining Sea Dragon, he spent 18 years in investment banking, primarily focused on structured debt products for the energy industry. During this time he was the head of the oil and gas structured debt and acquisition finance department of BNP Paribas.
