Description
EOG Resources Inc. completed a horizontal Sandbar Field well in Loving County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas. The #1H Excelsior 12 produced 1,010 bbl. of 44.8-degree-gravity oil, 2.3 million cu. ft. of gas and 1,395 bbl. of condensate per day. The well is producing from acid- and fracture-stimulated Bone Spring perforations at 9,690-14,256 ft. Tested on a 56/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 755 psi. The 14,309-ft. venture has a true vertical depth of 9,052 ft. and is in Section 12, Block 54, T1S, T&P RR Co Survey, A-940. The north-trending lateral bottomed close to the Texas/New Mexico state line beneath Section 1 in the West Texas portion of the Delaware Basin. EOG is based in Houston.
